Emily Schmidt is a writer and improviser from St. Louis Park, Minnesota. She is thrilled to be on the Mess Hall team, Love Tap! Before moving to LA, she studied improv and sketch at the Brave New Workshop, as well as taught and performed at HUGE Theater in Minneapolis. Emily majored in TV Writing at NYU Tisch, where she also performed with improv team, Dangerbox. In addition to Love Tap, you can see Emily performing with indie team, Lady Parade. She produces "OMG: Before We Got Our Lady Bits" at the the UCB Inner Sanctum, where women read from their actual Jr. High diaries and improvise based on the material. In her free time, she bakes and eats bundt cakes, and talks about it on MoistBundt.com. She also hosts a Designing Women-themed podcast, Georgia On My Mind.
